The ChefI love cooking. I can quite clearly remember being completely thrilled the first time my mom allowed to me to cook on my own, even if it was just fried eggs. I am by no means an expert, but I definitely pay attention to the little tricks given in my various cookbooks or on cooking shows.
I have been doing weekly dinner plans for about four years. It started when me and my then-fiance moved in together, and I decided that we should plan our dinners to make grocery shopping more efficient. It would also ensure that I wasn't cooking the same thing too often, thus allowing me to try new recipes every once and a while. It has proven to work very well for us, and now I've got a few recipes that I know almost by heart. In the spring of 2009, I started posting my dinner plans on Facebook as my status and one of my co-workers urged me to continue doing it to help with their own kitchen inspirations. I continued to do so as much as possible, but then the posts became more and more sporadic. In the fall of 2010, I began posting our dinner plans again. Comments from friends started to get me thinking about doing a blog, where I could post our plans for the week and share some recipes along the way. With some urging from one of my girlfriends (who also blogs), I finally decided to launch what you are looking at today. Enjoy! |
