Savory maple pork
I love this pork chop recipe; it comes from the Better Home and Gardens New Cook Book. The first time this recipe was made was when hubby and I were still living alone, and I was at hubby's for the weekend. It is a very easy and tasty dish to make, because most of the ingredients tend to be on hand anyways (we have a very large jug of maple syrup in our fridge that serves it's purpose well). Enjoy!

My very own tonkatsu
This comes from Cooking for two or more from the Pampered Chef company. The panko crumbs are a must for this recipe, it makes the pork so crispy and light. Panko can be found in the Asian section of the grocery store (Kikoman has quite recently released their own version of panko crumbs), but I got mine from T&T Supermarket. The pork is essentially tonkatsu, which is a fried pork cutlet dish found in sushi restaurants. Enjoy!

A filling salad
The combination of ham and pear work very well together in this simple salad from Better Home and Gardens New Cook Book. It was very easy to put together and looks very colorful, especially when you use mixed greens. The vinaigrette is very light and flavorful; I found that it wasn't terribly necessary to add more to my serving (but I did anyways because it's so tasty!). Enjoy!
